Jerith Standard Gates All Jerith fence styles have matching gates that are constructed with welded frames. By building the gates this way, they can hold a 300 pound load without collapsing! No other aluminum gate can make this claim. All gates are made to open in or out, from the right side or left. You don't have to choose until you install your fence. Jerith Walk Gates are self-closing and self-latching. They are available in several standard widths from 36" up to 72". Shown at the right is a 48" wide Style #202 gate. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Double Drive Gates are made by using two walk gates mounted as a pair. The pair meet in the center, and latch using the standard Jerith gate latch. Double Drive Gates are not self-closing nor self-latching. Aluminum drop rods are included to keep the gates open while being used, and to stabilize the pair when closed. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Gate Posts Jerith gates require heavier posts to support the weight of the gate and to withstand the constant impact from the closing and latching of the gate. Extra-heavy duty gate posts appear to be regular 2" square posts, but are twice as strong as the standard line, end or corner posts. Also available are 4" and even 6" gate posts. Jerith provides a formula for determining the needed Gate Posts, depending on the weight of the gate, but when you buy from FenceDirect.com there is no mystery. We have applied the Jerith formula to all of our price lists, and clearly indicate which gates require heavier posts. Beware of companies that try to save a few dollars by using less than the properly sized gate posts. Gates with undersized posts will soon fail to operate properly.
